Vietnam Veterans Day commemorates the Battle of Long Tan that occurred on that day in 1966. This year was especially important because it is the 50th anniversary of the withdrawal of Australian troops from the Vietnam War. Students Kaitlyn A, Charlotte D, Summer M and Georgia D of Year 10 and Felicity O and Rebecca M of Year 9 represented the College at the moving service in Mawson Park. We were fortunate to have in attendance Georgia’s grandfather, Roy Corlett who is a veteran who served in Vietnam.
