Year 10 Visit The Sydney Jewish Museum

Last week Year 10 students visited the Sydney Jewish Museum in Darlinghurst.

During their post-excursion debrief, many students have said how interesting and informative the Museum sources were, and how emotional the Museum experience was, in particular the Children's Exhibit.

Whilst there, students were privileged to hear from 83 year old Holocaust survivor, Lucy, who shared her painful WWll childhood memories. Some students also had the opportunity to speak with 100 year old survivor, Eddie Jaku, who claims to be "the happiest man on earth". Eddie's TED Talk can be accessed via this link.

It was comforting to hear how many students hope they will have the opportunity to revisit the museum in the near future and listen to other survival stories and explore the Sydney Jewish Museum sources in more detail.
