Year 11 Photography Excursion

On Monday 14 August the two Year 11 Photography, Video and Digital Imaging classes went on a walking tour of Sydney to take photographs for an upcoming assessment task. With a focus on ‘urban environments’. Students were advised to devise their own themes, points of interest and style.

Walking from Central Station, down Broadway to Central Park Mall, then onto the interesting architecture of the University of Technology, followed by Chinatown and Darling Harbour, it was a beautiful but smokey day. Due to hazard reduction in the Blue Mountains, a thick haze blanketed most of the city. This actually added some interesting effects to the images the girls took.

A big thank you to Mr Nash, who joined us on the day and provided valuable technical support and advice.

I look forward to seeing what the girls submit for their assessment task.
