Japan Foundation Speech Contest

On last Sunday 15 September, three Year 9 Japanese Elective students participated in the annual Japan Foundation Speech Contest held at St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill. The students were Madison M, Molly Q and Annabella N.

The students competed against 25 other students studying Japanese from around the state. The girls had a choice of presenting a one minute speech on the topics of "the most important thing/person in my life" or "a letter to my future self in 2029". The girls did a fantastic job and did their families and school proud. Although the students did not win, it was a fantastic experience to use the Japanese they have learnt over the past year and a half.

I would like to express my gratitude to the parents and caregivers who attended the day to support the girls.
