Mock Mediation Success

Congratulations to our Year 10 Mock Mediation team for making it through to the 2016 Grand Final in the NSW Law Society’s Competition.

The Semi-Final proved to be a challenging but interesting scenario, which was based around the difficulty of teenage relationships, jealousy and a fight between two of the characters. The girls played their characters perfectly, with two of our girls, Lois and Gemma, even taking on male roles to fit the scenario. Kate was spectacular in her performance as the ‘girlfriend’, and Yazmin argued incredibly in support of her fellow party member, the ‘heartbroken’ teenage boy, played by Lois. Our mediators, Christina and Maddy, had the difficult task of walking each party through the mediation process, with mock arguing and even a well orchastrated ‘storm out’ from Gemma’s character, Peter. There was certainly some strange looks from the girls in the classroom next door!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our whole team for all their hard work and effort this year. The Grand Final will take place at the Law Society on 4 November. We wish you all the best and good luck!
