Bishop Peter's letter to 2016 HSC Students

Most Rev Peter Ingham DD, Bishop of Wollongong

Dear HSC Students

I pray, as you and your families do, that you will be aware the Lord is with you as you enter these Higher School Certificate exams.

We are all gifted in different ways with talents unique to each one. We can thank God for the inspiration and help that our family and our teachers have given us over the years. May God help you recall all that you have studied and help you to be able to express it clearly.

Obviously you need to read the exam papers carefully. Ask the Lord to inspire you to answer what is asked, and to encourage you to do the best you can. As in everything else we undertake, nothing is going to happen that the Lord Jesus and you or I can’t handle together. Our faith tells us we are not doing this all on our own! May the Holy Spirit inspire you to think clearly and express yourself precisely!

Exams are a test: try to relax, divide up the time so that each question can be attempted with sufficient time; answer the questions you can first, to help you relax and get into the spirit of the test.

You are in my thoughts and prayers at this special time for you.

With every blessing and best wishes
Most Rev Peter W Ingham DD
BISHOP OF WOLLONGONG
